Image recording software set free.
iRecord from Initsys is one of the market leading image recording software packages for IP based cameras and is now free to download from the initsys website (http://www.initsys.co.uk).

Free Software Available Now

iRecord features include unlimited recording, record by motion detection and record by IDD (Initsys Duplex Detection). The software also includes self management of hard disk space and the option to send alarms to the VerifiedAlarms network.

Here alarms can be sent to users using SMS/MMS or to professional Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC). VerifiedAlarms is operated by the company for remote archiving and alarm handling and is linked
to many quality professional alarm receiving stations. The network is high powered and is free of the external clutter than could otherwise compromise a security transmission. Links to ARC are easy to implement and just need an IP router and coding of the VerifiedAlarms protocol.

Alternatively the ARC can implement Merlin, Initsys's small to medium ARC software for alarm verification. iRecord is Microsoft Windows based and the number of cameras that can be connected is only restricted only by the power of the computer used. A full feature list is included on the Company website. Whilst the software is free if the customer wants to have the system with preventative maintenance alerting through SMS and email then they can use the included VerifiedStorage module.

VerifiedStorage includes system off-line warning, camera off-line and recording disabled. A small annual fee is payable for the automated alerting process which is operated by the Initsys network management centre.

Initsys also provide iDigital systems for use with the software, this IP device interfaces between sensors and the software and is also used with IDD making a system virtually false alarm free. Chris Berry Initsys Managing Director says "This software has been released primarily because the new IAF (Install and Forget) systems use entirely new software and secondly because our installers wanted it for situations where cost is an issue. Additionally, of course, it also helps us increase the sales of remote storage on our VerifiedAlarms service.

Users can rest assured that although free they can rely on us to make regular improvements based on customer feedback. With other software companies making plug in elements for it we feel sure it will be very popular.

Most major camera manufacturers are supported and those that are not only need send us the commands for implementation". To obtain your licence for iRecord and plug in modules and to gain access to the download area please send an email to admin@initsys.co.uk including your company name and details.
